1999 I sailed for the first time in an optimist and really enjoyed it
2001 I sailed my first race
2004 I qualified for the youth team of the Netherlands
2005 I ranked 5th in the Netherlands and went to the Worlds in Silvaplana, Switzerland
2006 I participated at international clinics and international events; Optispring 1st place, Arhus (Denmark) 4th place, Vigo (Spain) 6th place, Palma the Mallorca (I don't want to remember), and I ranked 1st in the Netherlands and ... went to the Worlds in Montevideo, Uruguay, I finished 47th.
2007 I now sail a Winner boat, this is the best boat I can imagine with perfect details and perfect handling.

Hansebas Meijer
Hello,
I´m Hansebas Meijer, I was born 29th of october in 1992.
In England, because of my dad´s work.
First I started to sail in a little harbour of the club WV Arne in Middelburg, I was 8 years old.
The third training, I capsized. After that, I didn´t want to sail anymore.
After a trainingsweek, I wasn´t scared anymore. So I went to sail more and more.
Soon I went to a bigger club, the WSVW in Wolphaartsdijk. In 2003 I was sailing at the trials. Since 2004 I participate in the Dutch National Optimist team.
In 2005 I was 9th at the trials, that year I went to the Europeans in Poland, I ended 10th at the open, and 8th of Europe. The trials in 2006, I ended second, so I went to the Worlds, where I ended 107th, I wasn´t happy about that.
But Holland was 6th at the team races, and Holland didn´t participate in worlds teamsailing since 2002.
